الأحد الثالث من زمن المجيء يجعلنا مرة أخرى نلتقي شخصية يوحنا المعمدان. على ضفاف نهر الأردن، تثير عظاته في الناس الرغبة في التوبة (لوقا ٣، ١٠–١٤)، وتجعلهم يطرحون هذا السؤال: ماذا يجب أن نفعل لكي نحظى بحياة صالحة؟ ماذا يمكنني أنا أن أفعل، لحياتي؟
والّذين يطرحون هذا السؤال ينتمون إلى فئات متنوعة. ولدى كل شخص، ووفقا لوضعه، تتولد رغبة جديدة في الحياة؛ وستكون الإجابة مختلفة وتتناسب مع كل شخص.
كانت الأسئلة على فم الجموع (لوقا ٣، ١٠) والعشّارين (لوقا ٣، ١٢)، والجنود (لوقا ٣، ١٤). ونرى الدهشة لدى الجميع عندما أدركوا أن الخلاص لهم أيضا. لا أحد مستثنى. ويُذكّرنا ذلك بما قاله النبي أشعيا في الآية التي سمعناها في المقطع الإنجيلي يوم الأحد الماضي: “كل إنسان سيرى خلاص الله” (لوقا ٣ ، ٦). وهذه هي بالضبط الكلمة التي نزلت على يوحنا، الذي كان يدعو بقوة إلى توبة ومغفرة الخطايا مقدّمتين للجميع.
وثمة قاسم مشترك في الردود التي قدمها المعمدان على هذه الأسئلة. وهذا القاسم هو احترام الغير: “لا تستوفوا أكثر مّما حُدّد لكم” (لوقا ١ ٣، ١ ٣) “لا تظلموا أحداً، ولا تفتروا الكذب على أحد، واقنعوا بوظائفكم” (لوق ٣، ١٤). باختصار، يَطلب منهم يوحنا تصويب المسارات التي تسير باتجاه الآخر، والقضاء على الظلم، وعدم فعل الشرّ وعدم استغلال الآخر من أجل مصالح خاصة؛ يَطلب منهم مشاركة الاخرين فيما لديهم، ومقاسمة الّذين هم أقلّ حظوة. يبدو هذا الأمر هو الأكثر وضوحا.
بعبارة أخرى ، يقول المعمدان إن عملية الإرتداد لا تتم عن طريق الشعائر الطقسية، كما لا تكفي الذبائح ولا التقادم للهيكل ولا الحج. إنّ الحج الذي يجب القيام به هو الذهاب إلى الآخر، بدءا من تواجدنا.
عندما يحدث هذا، تبدأ في التحقّق الرؤيا النبوية، الّتي سبق ورآها أشعيا النبيّ، وبموجبها يخضع العالم لتحول كلي: كل ما كان يعيق اللقاء بين البشر فيما بينهم وبين الإنسان والربّ (إن كانت الجبال أو الوديان أو الطرق الملتوية) سوف ينتهي، وسيتحقّق اللقاء. لأنه عندما يأتي الربّ، سيجد البشر أنفسهم إخوة، و سيولد نمط جديد من العلاقات.
